| Iron Storm XIII is a PC and console LAN party for up to 200 gamers. It is the latest event in Pittsburgh LAN Coalition`s rich eight year history. We not only coordinate several game tournaments and foster free-form gaming, but also keep our gamers busy with feats of strength, intelligence, knowledge, agility, and luck -- all the things a gamer needs to succeed!
We will have PC tournaments in at least Counter-Strike: Source, StarCraft 2, Quake 3, Team Fortress 2, and Heroes of Newerth. We will have console tournaments in Mortal Kombat, Halo: Reach, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Goldeneye 64, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. We also hold what we called "jackass tournaments" where in people are asked to do things such as unfreeze a frozen T-shirt, play musical chairs, respond to trivia questions, push cars in neutral in a drag race, stack pop cans, and more.
As for sponsors, committed already are CPU Magazine, Red Bull, Hive Gaming, Gamers Mobile Party, and ThinkComputers. Our previous major event, Iron Storm XII, had more than 30 sponsors. We hope to open registration with at least 10 confirmed sponsors and hope that your company will be one of them! |
